Hi Al, I was there with Manchester Uni. I'm not quite old school, I'm one of those eternal student types that keeps avoiding real work for as long as possible.

Pulled it out of our basement, awesome photo pete difference is you can probably role yours.

Yeh I thought it would be like paddling a marathon boat with a broken rudder. Last DW ours went under the first bridge, it turned out some one had taken most of the wing nuts out of the rudder assembly for spares. Justin case one of the k2 rudders went! Thats more gutting than a set of broken wings any day and first two swims of the uni year.

Which uni do you paddle for david or did you come back as old skool?

That looks like my old Superstar as well as my old wings. Good to see it's still out there.

Well done on getting to the end! I also thought a bit of marathon background was suitable justification for racing with wings, turns out it wasn't - WWRs don't have rudders.

Its like you know me... Iam the twat trying to paddle that boat c1 winged. Maybe using wings on your first outing is not a good plan, I foolishely thought the marathon background might help. I eventually finnished the race (upright some how???) but got no aplause or help, just blank unimpressed looks from the organisers. Ended up pretty much in the lake,Its hard to make eddies with your hands. Cheers to Guy from duhram uni for helping me out there.
