Wales – scenic
This weekend saw the British Universities Kayaking Expedition selection weekend taking place in North Wales. I was lucky enough to be helping out with the selection and so spent the past three days kayaking with about twenty five of the best paddlers currently studying at university in Britain.

Jalopy in better days, on the way to Liquid life in June
On Saturday I drove my car into a ditch whilst trying to locate the get on for the Upper Mawdach. The ditch had a large rock in it. A short fight between rock and car ensued and the car lost.

This past weekend was one of those that remind me just why I enjoy being a paddler in the UK so much, despite there being disappointing levels in Wales this weekend I had a great time paddling, partying and drinking enormous volumes of tea with friends and paddlers all over North Wales.

This weekend saw the BUSA wild water race at the Washburn in Yorkshire run by Birmingham Uni. There were lots of university clubs in attendance from around the country, some took it pretty seriously and everyone else had fun.
